Tezgah 1.0.3: updates install themselves
New versions now download in the background and go in place when you quit Tezgah, or right away with Restart in the sidebar.
Three releases in one day is a lot of downloading. From 1.0.3 on, you won’t have to do it by hand.

Updates that install themselves
When a new version is out, Tezgah downloads it in the background. Then:
- Quit Tezgah and the new version goes in place. Next time you open it, it’s up to date.
- Or click Restart in the sidebar to install it right away. Your sessions resume where they were, like after any relaunch.
This works for the macOS app, the Windows installer and AppImages. A .deb is installed by your package manager, so Tezgah can’t replace it; it still tells you a new version is out and links the release.
Your choice
Settings → Install updates turns this off if you’d rather update yourself. Settings → Check for updates stops Tezgah from asking GitHub about new versions at all. See Privacy for exactly what it asks.
One last manual download
Versions before 1.0.3 can’t update themselves, so download 1.0.3 once. After that, updates come on their own.
