Tezgah has no telemetry and no account.
Network requests
It makes two kinds:
- Updates. At launch and every six hours, Tezgah asks GitHub for this repository’s latest releases, to tell you about new versions. Settings → Check for updates turns this off. Where Tezgah can replace itself, it downloads the new version from the release.
- Claude plan limits. To show them, Tezgah reads Claude Code’s login (the macOS Keychain item
Claude Code-credentials, or~/.claude/.credentials.jsonelsewhere) and callshttps://api.anthropic.com/api/oauth/usage, the endpoint Claude Code’s/usageuses. That endpoint is undocumented and may stop working.
Files it reads
~/.claude/projects, to resume conversations, list recent ones and follow subagents.~/.codex/sessions, for Codex limits. Nothing is sent anywhere.- Your Ghostty config, only if you turn on Terminal look.
What it stores
Your projects and sessions, and the last screen of each shell pane, are saved in Tezgah’s own settings folder on your computer.
Other tools
When the GitHub CLI is installed, Tezgah runs gh pr view in your projects to show their pull requests. That uses your own gh login.
Tezgah is independent and not affiliated with Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic.
