Worktrees

Give parallel agents their own branch and folder with git worktrees, then merge their work back.

Two agents editing the same folder will step on each other. A worktree session gives an agent its own copy of the repository on its own branch, so several can work at once.

Start a worktree session

  1. Select a project that’s a git repository.
  2. Press ⌥⌘T (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T), or choose New Session in a Worktree… from the + menu or the project’s right-click menu.
  3. Enter a branch name, such as fix-login.

Tezgah creates the branch and a worktree for it next to the repository, in <repo>.worktrees/<branch>, and starts Claude there. The session shows its branch in the sidebar like any other.

Merge it back

When the work is ready, right-click the session and choose Merge into main (or whichever branch it started from). You can also review and commit from the Changes panel first.

Close it

Closing a worktree session asks what to do with it:

  • Keep Worktree leaves the folder and branch, so you can continue later.
  • Delete Worktree removes the folder and the branch.
