Plan limits & usage
How Tezgah shows Claude and Codex plan limits, and the context and token use of each Claude session.
Plan limits
The bottom of the sidebar shows how much of your plan you’ve used, with a bar for each limit, when it resets, and a mark for the pace that would last until then.
- Claude: live. Tezgah reads Claude Code’s login and asks the same endpoint Claude Code’s
/usageuses. Runclaudeonce and sign in for this to work. - Codex: from the last rate-limit report in Codex’s own session logs (
~/.codex/sessions). It updates when you use Codex; nothing is sent anywhere. - Gemini, Grok and others keep their limits on their servers only, so Tezgah can’t show them.
If a refresh fails, Tezgah keeps showing the last values and says when they’re from. Hide either limit in Settings.
Context and tokens
Each Claude session’s header shows how full its context is. Hover it to see:
- Context now: the tokens in the conversation’s context.
- Sent: the tokens sent so far, and how many came from cache.
- Written: the tokens Claude wrote.
These are read from the conversation’s transcript in ~/.claude/projects.
