Docs / Agents
Permissions & notifications
Allow or deny agents from the sidebar, and keep track of who needs you with rings, the bell, the notification panel and the menu bar.
Allow and deny from the sidebar
When an agent asks to run a command or edit a file, its session shows Allow and Deny buttons in the sidebar. Click one and the agent carries on, without you opening the session.
From the keyboard, in the selected session:
| Action | macOS | Windows / Linux |
|---|---|---|
| Allow | ⇧⌘↩ | Ctrl+Shift+Enter |
| Deny | ⇧⌘⌫ | Ctrl+Shift+Backspace |
| Next session that needs you | ⌘J | Ctrl+Shift+J |
For anything more than yes or no, like Yes, and don’t ask again, answer in the pane itself.
Knowing who needs you
- A ring marks the pane and the session that need you.
- A notification reaches you when an agent finishes or needs you while you’re looking at something else.
- The bell at the top of the sidebar counts what you missed. Click it, or press ⌘I, for the notification panel; Mark All Read clears it.
- ⇧⌘U jumps to the latest unread notification.
- The menu bar (the system tray on Windows and Linux) shows who’s working and who needs you, with a jump to each.
Notify from your own programs
Any program can send a notification: with the escape sequences OSC 9, 777 or 99, which many tools already use, or with the tezgah command:
npm test && tezgah notify --title Tests "all passed"
That rings the pane, shows a notification and adds an entry to the panel.
