Build from source

Run Tezgah from its source code, run the tests, and make installers.

Tezgah is built with Electron, xterm.js and node-pty, with React for the interface. It needs Node 22+, and on Linux the usual build tools for native modules.

git clone https://github.com/itsyunusacar/tezgah.git
cd tezgah
npm install
npm run dev # run with hot reload, as "Tezgah Dev" with its own data, beside the installed app
npm test # unit tests
npm run e2e # end-to-end tests
npm run dist # installers for your platform, in dist/

npm run dev runs as a separate app, Tezgah Dev, with its own data, so you can keep using the installed Tezgah while you work on it.
